About the presenter

Dr. Erin Rush Ortegon is a Psychiatric Consultant for the Collaborative Care Program at RubiconMD and serves as the Physician lead for the Pediatric expansion of the program. Dr. Rush Ortegon completed her post-baccalaureate pre-medical training and medical school at the University of Louisville. Following medical school, she moved to New Mexico for her general psychiatry residency training. There, she worked with diverse populations in rural areas and served as the Chief Resident for the Rural and Community Track where she facilitated rotations for residents and fellows throughout the state. After her general psychiatry training, Dr. Rush Ortegon completed her Child and Adolescent Fellowship at the University of New Mexico. She decided to further explore increasing access to mental health care by completing a Public Psychiatry Fellowship at NYSPI/Columbia University. Today, she works at The Door-A Center for Alternatives serving young people in New York City.
