What you'll learn:
- Identify key patient factors and medical history that should be considered when assessing cardiac risk
- Identify situations in which elective surgery should be postponed due to high risk cardiac conditions
- Determine when additional testing should be ordered prior to non-cardiac surgery
About the presenter
Dr. Imran Ahmad graduated from the University of Illinois medical school. He completed residency training in Internal Medicine at Stanford University Medical Center followed by Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology training at the Cleveland Clinic.
He has been in active practice for over 10 years with Northwestern Medicine in Illinois and Medical Director of Interventional Cardiology at Central DuPage Hospital.
