- Implement evidence-based screening tools to identify trauma history and assess for PTSD in the primary care setting
- Apply trauma-informed approaches to common primary care presentations including chronic pain, unexplained symptoms, and treatment resistance
- Develop practical strategies for managing patients with trauma histories
About the presenter

Dr. Ludwing Salamanca, MD, PhD, is an assistant professor of clinical psychiatry at the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University. He completed his psychiatry residency at Mount Sinai Morningside-West in New York City, a fellowship in public psychiatry at the New York State Psychiatric Institute, holds a Ph.D. in public health and has conducted research on the epidemiology of substance use disorders in the United States. Dr. Salamanca has presented his research and lectured on behavioral topics both nationally and internationally.
