About the presenter
Dr. Erin Rush Ortegon completed her post-baccalaureate pre-medical training and medical school at the University of Louisville. Following medical school, she moved to New Mexico for her general psychiatry residency training, where she worked with diverse populations in rural areas and served as the Chief Resident for the Rural and Community Track. After her general psychiatry training, Dr. Rush Ortegon completed her Child and Adolescent Fellowship at the University of New Mexico. Her interests include first episode psychosis and improving access to care. She decided to further explore increasing access to mental health care by completing a Public Psychiatry Fellowship at NYSPI/Columbia University. Currently, she works at The Door-A Center for Alternatives serving young people in New York City.
